Having rice as a staple food is an Asian heritage. I eat rice for lunch and dinner. Sometimes I eat rice for breakfast. Oh yes! I eat rice for breakfast. Often time I have rice three times a day. If I missed a serving of rice in a day I just don’t feel the same. Without eating rice in a day I feel weak and less productive. It may be weird for some people but I am just used to it as if its a drug, that I am addicted to.

Because I eat rice a lot, I must have a reliable rice cooker. I’ve had several experiences with different rice cooker and so far the best that I ever had is the ones from Tiger. They are pricey but worth it. They come in different styles and they keep your rice warm for a longer period of time. If anything goes wrong with your unit, whether they are under warranty or not they have certified technicians that service your rice cooker. They come to your place to pick up the unit and once its fixed they deliver it back to you. Talk about good customer service. The service fee is just about right. Not expensive and not cheap.

I’ve had an issue with my Tiger rice cooker, I’ve had it for almost three years now. My problem is, recently the rice turns bad if I leave it on for some time. The rice changes color and smells really bad. If I cook the rice by 6PM and leave it on until the next morning the rice turns yellowish and stinks. I was on the verdict of getting it replaced. With a tight budget, I did some research as was able to come across Tiger Canada customer service. Boy, I am just glad I did give them a call. They were able to fix my unit. They gave me a certified service technician, the person came to our house to pick up the unit and gave me a call for the price estimate. When its all fixed he came back to deliver it. What a savings! I was able to save some money buying a new unit and manage to keep the old unit that I have.
